We are a Small Scale Mining business based in Beechworth, an old gold town ideally situated in the Goldfields of North East Victoria.
The region was a major gold producer and had many rich gold mines worked during the 1800's. Many of these mines yielded fantastic amounts of gold and still contain recoverable values today.
Once known as the richest alluvial goldfield in the world, Beechworth also hosted numerous rich hard rock mines. None of these were worked to any real depth leaving the opportunity for further exploration and mining.
We explore these alluvial and primary gold deposits, many of which were historically rich with the aim of locating economically viable gold deposits both within the old mines, and previously undiscovered gold sources.
We mine the gold the old timers left behind.
Our philosophy is simple: We mine high grade, low tonnage ore deposits and leave no trace when we have finished.
In addition to our gold adventures we have an ongoing interest in gemstones deposits in the North East area.
Our policy is to mine with all due consideration for the environment, cultural heritage and landscape. We are environmentally conscious and love the flora, fauna, and landscape of the Australian bush as much as anyone.
Our mining operations operate to world standard Fairnined standards as established by the Alliance for Responsible Mining.
We also have interests in Papua New Guinea, and look forward to involvement in other countries within the Asia Pacific region.
We work closely with Artisanal and Small Scale Miners to help them develop their mining ventures.
We manufacture the "Madminer"brand ofartisanal and small scale mining equipment and our own exquisite range of jewellery.
